Did Prophet Mohammed had good ties with Jews back in his days?

Essential to know, at the time of the prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (peace and bless be upon him and the prophets of Allah) , there were three main Jews tribes naming Bani Al-Nadhir بنی النضیر , Bani Qurayzah بنی قزیظه and BAni Qinqa’ بنی قینقاع also some other tribes were existed.
During 23 years of the life of the Prophet (pbuh) in Mecca and Medina he had some treaties with groups including Jews. For example, after the entrance of Prophet (pbuh) to Medina 622 CE he wrote a treaty with people, in fact it was a kind of constitution of Medina. In this treaty the rights of Jewish and other religions had been mentioned. (Authentic historians have recorded the treaty like Ibn Hisham)
Also Prophet (pbuh) had individual covenant with three aforementioned Jewish groups.
By investigating the history we can find out, unfortunately so many times Jewish groups broke their allegiances with Prophet (pbuh).
Moreover, Prophet Muhammad had a great behavior with People of the book (Jews and Christian) in his personal life. For instance,
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had a Jewish neighbor and this person used to throw his garbage every morning at the door step of the Prophet's home and even some time on the head of Prophet. One day Prophet didn’t encounter with garbage and realize the Jewish man is sick. So Prophet went to pay his Jewish neighbor a visit. Prophet asked about his healthy and the neighbor suffered great embarrassment out of his treatment with Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). hence, the Jewish man very soon embraced Islam because of the Prophet's high morals.
On the whole, Prophet in his individual and social life had an exemplary behavior with people including Jews.

Are there any similarities in narrating stories in the Bible and the Qur’an?

Surely there are so common points in narrating the stories of previous prophets in the Bible and the Qur’an. on the other hand, some differences in quoting stories have existed in the Bible and the Qur’an.
As an instance, I will compare the story of Adam and Eve (peace be upon them) in the Bible and the Qur’an. I am not so expert in the Old testament, as far as I know will share my information.
In the Bible,
In the book Genesis, Chapter 2, verses 16 and 17:
“16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” (New international version)
And also in the same chapter in the verses 1-7:
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,
3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.
5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
And in the verse 21 in the same chapter,
21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”
In the Qur’an:
Some verses of the Qur’an have mentioned the story of Adam and Eve (pbut) such as, (2:31-37) (3:33) (3:59) (7:11) (17:61) (18:50)
(20:116)
the Qur’an quotes the story with some distinguished characteristics. Here are some differences:
1. Adam and Eve (pbut) misled by Satan together. According to all verses of the Qur’an in which the story is mentioned, there is no any priority and Eve was not the cause to misled Adam.
2.According to the Qur’an God has told them all knowledge (2:31) and the forbidden fruit was not knowledge.

These two outstanding differences can make a totally different teachings and ideology.

What are some Qur'anic verses regarding forgiveness?

One of the outstanding characteristics of Allah is His mercy and forgiveness. He is the most merciful and the most forgiver. His forgiveness and mercy are mentioned more than 80 times in the Qur’an.
As instances some of these verses are here:
قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّـهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّـهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚإِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Say [that Allah declares,] ‘O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed Allah will forgive all sins. Indeed, He is the All-forgiving, the All-merciful. (39:53)
Do they not know that it is Allah who accepts the repentance of His servants and receives the charities, and that it is Allah who is the All-clement, the All-merciful? (9:104)
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَعْفُو عَنِ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
It is He who accepts the repentance of His servants, and excuses their misdeeds and knows what you do. (42:25)
Whoever commits evil or wrongs himself and then pleads to Allah for forgiveness, will find Allah all-forgiving, all-merciful.(4:110)

For more you can refer to (2:135), (5:9), (2:186), (2:222), (2:221), (2:268), (57:21) and so many other verses.

Does the Quran violate the Torah and the Gospels? If so, why?

He has sent down to you (Prophet) the Book with the truth, confirming what was [revealed] before it, and He had sent down the Torah and the Evangel. (Q. 3:3)

Some verses of the Qur’an explain that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon prophets of Allah and prophet Muhammad) validated previous Abrahamic religions. So the Torah and the Gospels did not abrogate by the Qur’an. For more you can refer to the verse (3:50) and (5:48).

Not only the Qur’an confirms previous holy book but also appreciate their true followers.
Some of the people of the book (Christians and Jews) when they heard the truth, they accept it and follow the truth.
·        When they hear what has been revealed to the Apostle, you see their eyes fill with tears because of the truth that they recognize. They say, ‘Our Lord, we believe; so write us down among the witnesses. (5:83)
And these people are considering as the virtuous (5:85)
Some good attributes of Christians are mentioned:
·        and surely you will find the nearest of them in affection to the faithful to be those who say ‘We are Christians.’ That is because there are priests and monks among them, and because they are not arrogant. (5:82)
and in another verses some people among Christians and Jews are respected.
·        Indeed, among the People of the Book there are some who have faith in Allah and in what has been sent down to you, and in what has been sent down to them. Humble toward Allah, they do not sell the signs of Allah for a paltry gain. They shall have their reward near their Lord; indeed Allah is swift at reckoning. (3:199)
Or in another verse Allah says:
·        Yet they are not all alike. Among the People of the Book is an upright nation; they recite Allah’s signs in the watches of the night and prostrate * They have faith in Allah and the Last Day, and bid what is right and forbid what is wrong, and they are active in [performing] good deeds. Those are among the righteous. (3:113,114)
And so many other verse are talking about Christians and Jews.
On the whole, Prophet Muhammad did not Violate the Torah and the Gospels.

What is the Jihad that has been mentioned in Quran?

About Jihad,

Firstly, we have to know the exact meaning of Jihad. The word Jihad is derived from the root J-H-D meaning endeavor and effort. so all difficult actions can be name as Jihad. For example, in the narrations mentioned that fasting in the summer is Jihad, trying to support family is Jihad, when mother breastfeed her child is Jihad, when man go out to work for family is Jihad, being kind with wife is Jihad and so many other good deeds are consider as Jihad..
Secondly, according to authentic hadith from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) there are two types of Jihad; Minor Jihad and Major Jihad. Minor Jihad is known in the world as Jihad, meaning battling with enemies. And major Jihad which is so important is self-purification. The major Jihad means to purify our soul and try to be the person Allah wants you to be, rather than what you want to be.
Thirdly, the minor Jihad, which is known as Jihad for most of the people, is divided into two parts; Starting Jihad (war) and defending Jihad (war).
  •        Starting Jihad means Muslim start a war against enemies.
  •       Defending Jihad means Muslims defend after the war has been started by enemies.

This is important point to know, Although the doctrine of starting war have been proved in Islam (somehow), never Prophet start a war. By investigating and scrutinizing the history we can realize that Prophet Muhammad Never start a war. All of the Jihads (wars) of Prophet Muhammad was defending one; for defending Islam or Muslim.
I do not defend what has happened during the Caliphate as they started wars to expand the borders of Islam.
All in all, from the teachings of the Holy Qur’an, Islamic traditions and lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad we can find out that we are not allowed to start a war.
In fact, we are not in the position to force people to change their religions and convert to Islam. We have to present genuine Islam (3:20) (5:92) (13:40) (16:82) (24:54) (36:17) and so many other verses which explicitly mention that our duty is to present truth, after that people have free will to choose what they want.
